  My family came to visit from Sweden. I took my friends advice and booked a sightseeing trip by a tour company they knew and recommend. I called and a very nice girl picked up and answered all my questions... And I had plenty of questions. She was very helpful from the get go and explained everything in details to me. I believe her name was Joanne. She recommended the LA Grand Premier Tour which was the most popular Tour she said people booked. I booked the tour she recommended and I'm very glad I did. We started the tour from Santa Monica were we had to get our tickets first before we boarded. Turned out that the company not only is selling tours but also offers some pretty interesting activities all around California and Europe! Anyhow, our tour was great the tour guide Danny was fun and very entertaining! We pretty much saw all important and famous sights what you may be able to find in LA. He gave us about 30 minutes and up to 1 hour lunch break in Hollywood. My parents loved Rodeo Drive and the Santa Monica Pier. Hollywood Walk Of Fame of course was a nice place and my parents took pictures with their favorite actors at Madame Tussaud's. I had a blast and I would totally take this tour again!

• Review of "Palisades Preschool" at Santa Monica

  After paying the exorbitant amount of money charged by this school (for essentially half days), my child is behind every student the Kindergarten class in all basic requirements such as reading and writing. The "alternative" teaching approach here is fine if you treat preschool like day care but it will not prepare your child for what's next on their learning path. What a tremendous let down.

• Review of "St. Monica Catholic Elementary School" at Santa Monica

  My son went here and the teacher was ice cold. The teacher would barely respond to me via email. I couldn’t believe that a kindergarten children would make this experience so terrible. The school treated my son horribly. The kids wouldn’t play with my son and he therefore became closed in. The Principal and Teacher suggested that my son go back to TK because perhaps he wasn’t ready. Funny because everywhere we went he was just fine. It says a lot about a school when your child refuses to go daily. I took him out and they had the audacity to say they wanted the best for my child. We are now happy at a school that doesn’t kill a child’s spirit. You would think they would use their catholic values to deal with people. Horrible experience and I was very much disappointed in this school. I do not recommend this school. If I could give this school a negative 10, I would.
